Hello and welcome to Wee Explorers! My name is Miss Rebecca and I am the lead teacher in this room. I have a Bachelor of Science in Family Community Services and have been a teacher here at Wee Excel for 3 years.
In this room we are dedicated to preparing your child for kindergarten. We put a lot of focus on independence and helping each other. We encourage the children to put on and take off their own coats and hang them on their hook themselves. For snacks, they pour their own water and prepare their own food. They do very well at this age with some responsibility and learn how to take pride in themselves and their work.
Our day begins with morning snack and group time, where we read stories, do an alphabet song, and have our music/movement time. After that, we break off into our work time where we focus on language arts, math, science, and social/emotional activities. Many of our activities are play-based as this is a great way for kids to learn while also having fun. I love watching the kids in my room learn and grow - it's such a great age!
